In my second year at Escape Studios, my group and I started an exciting new project – the development of a racing game inspired by an established AAA title. Our team of 10-12 passionate individuals worked diligently to bring our game to life, drawing inspiration from our chosen title. The project was both challenging and rewarding, as we honed our skills in game design, programming, and team collaboration. With a shared passion for gaming and a desire to create something unique, we set out to make an unforgettable racing experience.
Our team aimed to deliver an engaging racing game experience, applying lessons learned from previous modules (Mobile Game, Diorama, and Specialism Project) to simulate the professional workflow of the game industry. We employed Perforce for version control and held daily Scrum meetings to maintain collaboration, set clear objectives, and resolve any issues that arose. As a leader of this talented team, this experience allowed me not only to develop my skills as an artist but also as a producer, enhancing my abilities in communication, time management, and problem-solving in high-pressure situations.

We are a group of artists and two tech artists, we struggled but we all came together and worked really hard. I’m proud of what we accomplished together.
